This provocative story is about a young man who was initiated into a clandestine sexual society. He was spirited to the Middle East, from his UK boarding school. He attended the Bahriji School (Oasis,) in The United Arab Emirates in preparation for serving in Harems for the wealthy and elite.

It is also a love story between the young man and his ‘Valet’ who served as his chaperone and mentor during the boy’s Harem service. 
Bernard is also an established bridal/formal wear fashion designer since 1977 to present.

Penguin E-Books to Hit Libraries Nationwide A pilot begun last month by Penguin to sell its e-books to the New York and Brooklyn public libraries is expected to roll out nationwide by year end, according to a statement from the library e-book vendor, 3M. In a statement late yesterday, 3M officially announced that Penguin would be using its Cloud Library product for the task. Penguin has not yet confirmed the development to Digital Book World. Penguin will join Random House and HarperCollins as publishers from among the largest in the country that sell their e-books to libraries. The Penguin program, like that of the other two, will likely not be without its restrictions. For the pilot, Penguin is only making its e-books available six months after they initially went on sale and then for a year license, at which point librarians will have the option to renew - for a fee, one supposes. So, no  No Easy Day at your public library until February or March. Librarians have bristled at such restrictions in the past, but we guess that they'd rather have the option to buy Penguin e-books, restrictions or no, versus the alternative - no options at all. Debut Literary Erotica Writer to Mark Book Release with a Celebration of Literature and Dance

Debut novelist Sarah Martinez will celebrate the release of SEX AND DEATH IN THE AMERICAN NOVEL on September 8 at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. The event will begin at 6:30pm with book signings.  Martinez will be reading from her debut novel, a work of literary erotica that explores unconventional relationships, loss, and the merits of erotic literature through the eyes of a tenacious female protagonist.

Martinez’s passion for promoting the interests and independence of women combined with her unique perspective on the merits of erotica have already landed her interviews and mentions on online radio. Her signature style will attract readers interested in a deeper understanding of the importance of an honest dialogue about sex, the power of fantasy, grief and human connection in all its forms.

A GOOD STORY IS A GOOD STORY - HOLLYWOOD HERE WE COME

Wouldn't the Academy Awards be better if during the show they would talk about how good some of the movies were that weren't nominated. A song or two from some of the less celebrated movies might enhance the show, if anyone saw Burlesque some of the songs from that movie would have made a great musical number.

If the Academy made some changes and updated some of the segments the younger audience they want would watch the show. So much time and money goes into the show doesn't anyone realize change might be just what the doctor ordered.

In my office I receive hundreds of queries a month from new writers that need an opportunity. Where are all the production companies when we need them? Do actors realize how many great scripts they never see because their agents never show them the scripts.The material is out there. We need more production companies that will take more chances.There are great scripts that are not being seen because ...I really don't know the answer. Is there one?

I really feel that changes need to be made.How about dividing the categories and adding more movies. It's really hard to judge a Romantic Comedy and a Thriller in the same way, as is a Horror Film verses a Drama.

I really think scriptwriters need a chance. Without writers the movies would be silent. This is known fact, but if we as writers try to get the word out to producers maybe they will listen. I have written fourteen scripts, been optioned twice and I won't give up but what about the writers that will.

Change is good and rules need to be modified to fit the times. PUBLISHING AND MARKETING

I have been a Literary Agent for many years and I have recently come across two women that are quite unique. They are Robin Surface from www.fidelipublishing.com and April Robins from www.robinfalls.com.

I have been writing for years and regardless of all the rejection letters I received from traditional publishing companies I didn't stop writing.I refused to give up.

Finally,I made a call to Fideli Publishing and Robin and I talked for quite some time. One year later I have three children's books published, THE BUSY BUS, SNACK ATTACK and THE MAGICAL LEAPING LIZARD POTION, I have also published two novels,SALA,MORE THAN SURVIVOR and LOVE CHANGES. Robin has taken the time and energy to help me market my books and for the first time in all the years I have been writing I feel the light at the end of the tunnel is easy to view. I am now writing regularly and realize I actually have a good chance of success.

Robin convinced me to try all the opportunities out there and I am doing just that.That is how I came across April Robins from www.robinfalls.com. She is very supportive to new writers and actually want them to succeed. She has a website where she features writers and she had a blog talk radio show where she gives writers a chance to read sections of their books to the public. Now this is what I call terrific.

These two companies are what make me feel that for all the years and the tough times there is a chance for all of us as writers to succeed. Isn't that we all want.
