High School can be a very stressful place for kids these days. They are trying to plan for their future not knowing which career path will allow them to have jobs when they finish school. One guest for this show will be Robert Raymond, author of Entrepreneur’s Guide To the Universe and Before You Grab The Doorknob, a survival guide to keeping the job you already have. Mr. Raymond is also the owner of Prairie Avenue Group Consulting Firm, a small to medium size business consultant. Robert will discuss the employment market and how to plan for a career when you might be one of thousands applying for the same job.
Another guest will be Meredith Alger, a noted Social Worker and expert in youth issues. After graduating from Lawrence University in 2004 with a B.A. in Psychology, Ms. Alger worked for two years with young people tackling issues such as academic, social, emotional, or behavioral concerns. She developed and administered an after school program, planning events, and carrying a crisis pager in Evanston, Illinois.
She went back to school, looking to gain knowledge and skills, knowing that she wanted to work with children and adolescents. Ms. Alger received a Master's degree from the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration in 2008 and became a Licensed Social Worker, as well a Certified School Social Worker. She has worked at Central Elementary School as a school social worker, which is her primary career focus.
She has also worked with developmentally disabled adults, high school students, and victims of domestic violence during her tenure as a social worker. Ms. Alger has certificates for her completion of training in Advancing Youth Development and the 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training.

Joining Marsha and her assistant Abbi Glines are Rick Doyon, Tracy Frischkorn, and Judy Snider. Rick Doyon is a screenwriter and marketing guru. He has just finished writing his first novel The Carousel. Tracy Frischkorn is a screenwriter who has now decided to write her first novel, Strings Of Deception. Judy Snider, raised in Michigan, lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia with her husband, Gil, sons Jon and Nick. Judy had the joyful job of working at Cape Henry Collegiate School for eight years, and now substitutes in the children's library there. She loves giving book talks in schools near her home. Goldy's Baby Socks is Judy's first children's book.Mrs. Snider got her B.S. from Western Michigan University and her master's in social work from Tulane University in New Orleans. She is also the co-author of a women's book, The Sacred Purse.
